Once I had watched the video, the whole process of installing the new ink pads was very straightforward. The same applies to resetting the ink counter.
I was a little hesitant about installing the software on my own computer but managed to borrow an old laptop and used that instead.

I needed a key code for reseting the waste ink pads. I check a video on internet explaining how to do it, download the app and got the key code. All super easy. Within 10 minutes my printer was working again. Not sure how is Octoinkjet for other purposes, but for me it tourn out working very good. Highly recommended!
